Prior to establishing Browning Search Group in May of 2001, Simms held the title Director of Recruiting at a boutique-recruiting firm, which specialized in the financial services. As the Director of Recruiting, Simms managed a core group of six recruiters who conducted searches in all areas of the financial services for both the buy side and sell side. While managing these recruiters he also conducted senior level searches for multiple clients and managed multiple client relationships.

Simms began his search career as a Recruiter with DM Stone Recruitment Solutions where he rapidly advanced to Director of Recruiting. During this time Simms led searches for a wide range of positions within the asset management, investment banking, alternative investment and trust universes. The majority of Simms' clients worked with him due to his professionalism and knowledge of the industry that he focused his searches in.

Before entering the recruiting industry, Simms worked for a large brokerage house providing his clientele with excellent customer service and educational investment information.

Simms attended St. Lawrence University and holds a B.S. degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. He is a California Accredited Consultant. Born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Simms resides in Austin, Texas.
